IntroductionThis repository of texts is an effort to collect, edit, and make available important and often rare Sanskrit and Bengali texts that belong to the Caitanya Vaisnava tradition. It is for the use of any and all scholars of Sanskrit, Bengali, and the Caitanya Vaisnava tradition. It will eventually contain carefully edited and proofread editions of the whole corpus of Caitanya Vaisnava texts and many other important Sanskrit texts from other traditions and fields of study. On this resourceThe extensive library of texts sorted by genre and offered in a number of formats forms the heart of the site. To help you get the most out of them, we have also made available a number of aids: A discussion forum to let you delve deeper into the texts and to give us your feedback and corrections, a resource page with fonts and diacritic utilities, a news section and a newsletter to keep you up to date, a member section to let you get most out of your Grantha Mandira experience, and much more.Invitation to participateWe are looking for volunteers who would like to participate in building the Gaudiya Grantha Mandira. If you know how to read Sanskrit in either Bengali or Devanagari scripts and can type in any transliteration system, or are capable of proofreading already completed texts, you are invited to participate. We will try to facilitate your service as much as possible.
